iPhone 16 Pro Max Rumored to Feature Bigger, More Advanced Main Camera Sensor

According to the latest buzz, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is gearing up to be a camera powerhouse, dubbed as an "image flagship." The main camera is said to pack a punch with a special 48-megapixel Sony IMX903 sensor. This sensor comes with cool features like a stacked design for top-notch performance, a 14-bit Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) for super crisp image conversion, and Digital Gain Control (DCG) for improved dynamic range and noise control.
But that's not all – the Weibo user also mentioned that the iPhone 16 Pro Max's camera sensor will be 12% bigger than its predecessor, measuring 1/1.14 inches. For reference, the current iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro models have a slightly smaller 1/1.28-inch sensor. A larger sensor could mean better dynamic range, more background blur, and killer low-light photography, thanks to its ability to capture more light.
As a bonus tidbit, the leaker hinted that the next-gen high-end iPhones will sport a slightly more curved screen, building on the design from the iPhone 15 lineup. And fear not – the new models will keep it slim, with virtually the same thickness as the previous ones.
Digital Chat Station has a track record for being spot-on about iPhone leaks, revealing details about the iPhone 15 series last year. Now, all eyes are on the fall when the iPhone 16 lineup is expected to make its grand entrance. Exciting times for iPhone enthusiasts!
